These clinics are being held in order to allow all dog and cat owners to have their pet vaccinated, conveniently. North Carolina State Law requires that all CATS and DOGS 4 months old or older be immunized for RABIES The first vaccination is effective ("good") for 1 year. Booster vaccines are effective (“good") for 3 years if given ON TIME and kept UP-TO-DATE The RABIES CLINICS will be held in all areas of Polk County The COST of vaccines at the Rallies Clinics is $5 no. We request that those pet owners attending RABIES CLINICS properly restrain and control their pels Dogs should be on a leash. Cats should be kept in a carrier or box or kept in cars until the time of their vaccination. All dog and cat owners whose pels are not currently vaccinated for RABIES are encouraged to take advantage of the spring clinics. Proper vaccination protects these pets as well as owners and other people who make contact with these pets. Vaccination also should be done to comply with North Carolina State Law.
